John Derian’s quirky, historically-tinged designs are adeptly handmade in his New York studio, where he employs a small staff of talented artists to assist with production since 1989. Along with his signature decoupage (the art of cutting and gluing paper images to surfaces), The John Derian Company also crafts intriguing quilts, table linens, and stationery.
Derian creates his charmingly eccentric collages by cleverly combining prints (most notably his sought-after antique fruit, flower and animal motifs) with hand-painted borders and letters dating back over a century.
